Worker Council Summary Report

In a partnership spanning from May 2022 to February 2023, Turning Basin Labs collaborated with Jobs For The Future (JFF) to establish a Worker Council comprising ten frontline retail and manufacturing workers. This unique initiative aimed to foster collaboration between Worker-Experts and a Corporate Council composed of leaders from JFF’s corporate leadership network. The overarching objective was to explore innovative practices and policies that empower workers, granting them a more significant voice within their workplaces. JFF sought to investigate and design pilot programs to test promising Worker Voice initiatives, while TBL focused on sourcing the Worker-Experts and co-designing, launching, and supporting the Worker Council.
